Male
Many capitals of the world are fantastic places to spend time, and the capital of the Maldives is no exception. Male offers everything you could want from a holiday destination. For those wanting to sight see, the Friday Mosque is easy to spot by its large, golden, domed roof. Foodies can enjoy the numerous outdoor markets, and stock up on local staples like coconuts, capsicum and chilli. But one of the best things about Male is just how easy it is to reach many beautiful surrounding islands.
Komandoo Island
Just a 45-minute journey away, taken via sea-plane, lies Komandoo Island. This Maldivian paradise looks as if it’s straight out of a travel brochure, all blonde sands and clear turquoise waters. Maradhoo is home to one of the best diving spots in all of the Maldives. Several diving schools can be found here, and the calm, clear waters make it a great spot for underwater photographers and novice divers. Mantas, turtles and reef sharks can often be spotted, ensuring your holiday snaps will stand out from the crowd!

Kuredu
If your idea of a perfect holiday in the Maldives is to do absolutely nothing but relax, this is the place for you. In the North Ari Atoll you will find Kuredo Island, a place where many return time and time again. Highly rated by the lucky few who get to walk its shores, luxurious floating bungalows snake across one side, while a wide beach adorns the other. Pure bliss.
