This little guy was looking for trouble. He had stolen that treat from two other siblings and plopped himself in between the adults so he could keep it. I almost forgot to take the picture I was so mesmerized by his cheekiness.
Unfortunately, he was born in captivity as a result of his mother being rescued from an abusive zoo in Malaysia. He and many like him will likely never be 100% wild, but there are great organizations who dedicate their lives to protecting these and other Orangutans and run wonderful programs to bring both awareness and the ability to release rehabilitated animals back where they belong.
