Bastakia Quarter
Enveloped in well-defined Arabian architecture, the narrow lanes are suggestive of days gone by when life was a bit slower. Built in the 19th century for affluent Persian merchants, Bastakia Quarter calls the eastern portion of Bur Dubai along the creek home. Several galleries, which house Arabic ceramics, can be found in many parts of the city.

Dubai Creek
Separating the town into two parts, Dubai creek first attracted pearl divers and fishermen. The history of the small towns found along the creek goes back 4000 years. Still used as a loading and unloading dock for goods, visitors are often invited on board to experience what life is like on the creek.
